Zara 1.0

This weekend, Zara turned 1 year old.  Since her 2nd word was "kitty", we went with a cat theme.  We had so much fun with this one.  It was nice that Remy could help decorate for her sister too.  I'm going to include the outfit purchasing information, but if you have any questions about specific decor, feel free to ask! I sourced a lot of things + inspo on my pinterest board, Zara 1.0 Kitty.

Zara's Outfit:
Headband: BaoBao (modified with extra crystals by me)
Dress: Motoreta (smaller sizes here and larger sizes here)
Tights: Cat & Jack
Shoes: Mini Melissa
Pin: Em & Sprout

Remy's Outfit:
Headband: BaoBao
Dress: H&M
Knee Highs: Old Navy (Halloween style)

Cheap + Cool: H&M

Do not get me wrong: I LOVE designer and indie clothing.  It's creative and often far more ethical than the fast fashion world. But, I truly understand that these pieces are not always feasible for most families.  With a little digging (or in some cases, very little digging), you can find some AMAZING looks that rival their expensive counterparts.  H&M is my favorite starting point for this type of stuff and they do NOT disappoint right now.  Check out my favorite below, complete with direct links to the products.

Rebel and Heart

I know this blog is new, but I think it's fairly obvious I love a black and white situation.  Don't get me wrong, color is great. It's beautiful.  It's very important for children to explore.  But there is just something about a crisp black and white on a child that makes my heart melt.  So when I discovered Rebel and Heart on Instagram, I squealed.  Black and white AND these adorable Halloween prints?  AHHH! Perfect!  Here are a few more pulls from the site BUT: there are TONS more, so check it out.

Burton Babies

Black and white clothing is a staple in goth culture and one of the easiest ways to give your kids outfits a little extra spookiness.  Mix these with solid blacks or combat boots to solidify the look.  Click through to shop the item!
