Halloweek . Tank Girl

Every Halloweek season we have one week that seems to be a challenge. The Tank Girl shoot is that week for us. Shoot location: closed for construction. Zara: angry at the world and her hat. So while I was unable to get snaps of them together (and Jet Girl ended up bald and hatless), we still got some great shots.  Tank Girl was my favorite movie in high school and sort of a gateway into a lot of amazing feminist and counter-culture that I never knew existed.  It was a silly, cheesy romp based on a British comic and while the critics hate it, it has a magical place in my heart. Weirdo Kids

I have the pleasure of having Nicole of Drawings by Nicole in my local mom tribe.  Her Etsy shop started with prints and has exploded into an array of pins and shirts, most of which are parenting themed.  Last weekend she graciously left us some goodies after a pool party, so we took these tees out for a spin at the park.  Check out her shop for a killer section of prime Weirdo Mom and Kid gear!

Drawings by Nicole Halloween Art

Nicole Sloan is one of the babes in my mom tribe…a fantastic artist and teacher. Luckily for all of us, she sells her work at fantastic prices on Etsy.  She just released these adorable Halloween characters, which would be perfect for seasonal decoration OR year around cuteness.  Here are my favorite pieces:

And in keeping with our Halloweek theme, here is an amazing one featuring Eleven from Stranger Things!
